New Dragon Age Legends Trailer

by Matt Miller on Feb 01, 2011 at 08:05 AM

Want a head start on Dragon Age II? This new trailer reveals how the franchise will be transitioning into the social network scene.

The new Facebook game, Dragon Age Legends, is entering closed beta right now, and BioWare is opening up about details regarding the game. They've also put together a pretty cool trailer for the game, which you can view at the bottom of this article.

Dragon Age Legends is being designed in conjunction by EA 2D and Bioware. The game is set in the Free Marches, the same area that players will explore when they dive into Dragon Age II in a few weeks.

The game combines combat and character customization and lets you interact cooperatively with other Facebook friends to fight the Darkspawn. Play enough and you'll unlock five items that can be used in Dragon Age II. People lucky enough to be selected for the closed beta will get the Jade Empire-inspired Death's Hand armor for their character.

The trailer only teases the gameplay and doesn't really show off exactly how players will interact with the game. Give it a watch, and let us know what you think in the comments below. Does the game look like fun? What do you think of the integration of Facebook games into larger console franchises?
