UPDATE: Double Fine Selling Russian Dolls For Stacking

by Jeff Marchiafava on Feb 01, 2011 at 01:40 PM

UPDATE: Due to popular demand, Double Fine has once again started taking orders for the Stacking Russian dolls set on their website. Enjoy!

ORIGINAL STORY: A lot of developers and publishers create limited edition swag to help advertise their games, but rarely is the final product as cool as what THQ and Double Fine cooked up for its upcoming XBLA adventure game Stacking. The game tells the story of a family of Russian matryoshka dolls. So, any idea what the promotional item is?

We really hope you were able to figure out that it's the above stacking doll set, which was actually handmade in Russia. Double Fine was selling 300 sets at its website, but they have already sold out. If you didn't get a set, you will at least be able to play the game when it comes out on February 9. For a review of the game, check out the latest issue of Game Informer or check back here next Wednesday.
