EA Sports, Virgin Team Up For Gaming Competitions

by Adam Biessener on Jan 20, 2011 at 05:51 AM

Electronic Arts will be integrating Virgin Gaming's competitive gaming technology into pay-to-enter and sponsored tournaments for "select EA Sports console video games."

Virgin's position as the official tournament provider for EA Sports lets the publisher upgrade its competitions with better community features and web integration via Virgin's technology platform.

"Virgin Gaming demonstrates the system-wide integrity we desire, and this is a great opportunity for EA Sports fans to experience secure and impeccably managed online tournaments for some of our top titles," EA Sports president Peter Moore said in a statement.

Better upgrade your net connection. Lag sucks enough when it's not costing you cash money.
