Maniacs Try To Beat 100 Games In Charity Speed Run Marathon

by Jeff Cork on Jan 08, 2011 at 04:21 AM

What are you doing over the next few days? Do you plan on beating a few games? Big deal. The guys at Speed Demos Archive are running through their second Awesome Games Done Quick charity event, in which a rotating group attempts to plow through 100 classic games over the course of a few days. As impressive as that is already, they're doing it to earn money for cancer prevention.

They started out on Thursday with Super Mario Galaxy 2, and they're wrapping it up with a run through Kingdom Hearts 2 on Tuesday. In between, you can see them tear through games like Myst, Blast Corps, and Double Dragon on their live feed. You can check it all out live here, or visit their online schedule for an idea of what's ahead over the next few days.

If you're a weirdo like me who really likes watching other people play games, this feed is concentrated bliss. What are you waiting for? Get over there!
