One of the biggest news stories of 2010 will be stretching well into 2011, it seems. Last month, Activision decided to expand their lawsuit to include Electronic Arts. In the process of doing this, the trial that was scheduled for May has been pushed back.
Former Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella are hurting because of this delay, as they're paying legal fees out of their own pockets. According to them, the cost of the proceedings has "[exceeded] our combined annual salaries."
Obviously, this has to be a major headache for Respawn and its founders. Starting a new studio comes with its own laundry list of obstacles, and a lengthy legal battle has to make things significantly more difficult for the duo.
