Update: Co-op Bots Shine In Portal 2 Box Art
Update: Valve has provided us with official North American box art and we can now confirm uniformity amongst the territories. The gallery below has been updated to include these images.
Original Story: The franchise’s standalone debut means that some tangible Portal cover art is in order, not just a digital placeholder. Valve and EA released a first look at the PAL box art for the much anticipated Portal 2, showcasing interactions between the strangely adorable co-op bots. In the background we can see weighted storage cubes being whisked around the Aperture Science facilities, waiting patiently to be of service.
As far as we can tell only the European art has been released, but we've contacted EA and Valve to clarify if the final look will be standard between regions.
What do you think of the art? It's significantly less abstract than the Orange Box imagery and puts a heavy focus on the cooperative element of the game. Check out all three versions in the gallery below.
Portal 2 is slated for an April 21 launch on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Mac.
