Social Games Now Playing In Bing

by Matt Miller on Dec 17, 2010 at 12:45 PM

If you use Microsoft's search engine, some games will be playable right in the search results.

Previously, players would need to click over into the Bing Games site to start playing some of the more casual social games that the site offered. Now, players will get access to games like Happy Island as soon as they search for it. The first several levels can be played without having to login through Facebook.

This little nugget of info sure isn't going to change any gamer's life; we'd be surprised if anyone frequenting Game Informer is spending a lot of time on games like Happy Island. However, it's interesting to see the way that browser-based social games are getting increasingly visible to the wider public. Each passing month brings news of the profound success experienced by the emerging field of social games.
