Quantic Dreams Opens Studio Of The Future

by Jeff Marchiafava on Dec 13, 2010 at 10:03 AM

Today Quantic Dream announced its newly-renovated motion capture studio is open for business. What's so special about it? We're glad you asked.

The Paris-based studio sports 64 optical cameras, which will now allow the studio to simultaneously capture voice acting performances alongside facial and body movements.

"We are very excited about the new possibilities at hand with our new Mocap stage" Quantic Dream's co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière, said. "Capturing actors' complete performance in a single take with high fidelity is essential to render the highly realistic 3D characters people expect nowadays in high-definition games and movies, and that is precisely what our new studio can deliver on."

Considering the quality of Heavy Rain, we're looking forward to seeing rewards of the new studio.
