I was going to start off this post by saying that we weren't going to make a habit out of posting every amazing thing that Minecraft users are doing in the game, but it appears that I'm too late. That said, this one is too cool to pass up. Someone has basically created our entire stupid planet in the game.
YouTube user Roddds469 grabbed NASA height-map data and imported it into a 1,000 by 500 block scale model of the planet. He says that he plans on making a larger version now that he's had a chance to experiment with the process. Check it out below.
