Curt Schilling Will Transform Providence Into A "Global Force"
The baseball star turned game developer says that bringing his 38 Studios to the Rhode Island city will give it a big time boost.
Curt Schilling received a $75 million loan from Rhode Island to uproot his studio out of Massachusetts, and is ready to turn Providence into a world power. Speaking at Providence Business News’ Business Excellence Awards, he said, “four to five to six years from now, we’re going to be looking back on this, and I know that 38 Studios will be one of the companies that will push and incentivize the Providence business community to become a national and global force.”
The team's first project, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, is set to release in 2011.
