Splinter Cell Collection Heading To Consoles
Looks like the rumors were true and Ubisoft is giving Sam Fisher's original trilogy an HD makeover.
According to IGN, the Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed during an earnings call that the French publisher is developing a Splinter Cell collection featuring the original game, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory. Repackaging games from the PlayStation 2 era has become a hot trend, with Splinter Cell joining the God of War collection, an Ico/Shadow of the Colussus bundle, the Sly Cooper trilogy, and previously announced Prince of Persia remakes.
No pricing or release information is known at this time, though Ubisoft may have tipped its hat in announcing that the Prince remakes are available exclusively through the PlayStation Network.
