Microsoft Sues Motorola

by Matthew Kato on Nov 10, 2010 at 08:00 AM

Microsoft is suing Motorola over what the Xbox 360 maker views as excessive royalty fees from Motorola.

The suit, filed in a Seattle court by Microsoft, states that Motorola is charging "excessive and discriminatory" royalties for some video decoding and wireless LAN technology in the Xbox 360.

We can't help but chuckle at Microsoft crying over someone else's royalty fee given how its Xbox Live charges have cheesed off some developers from putting MMOs on the service.
