The company says that it’s swiftly reorganizing its R&D department following Keiji Inafune’s departure. Capcom is also gearing up to finish and release Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Monster Hunter Freedom 3 next year, and they have high expectations for the game.

Capcom’s organizational reworking of their R&D department, which was originally planned for next fiscal year, is being sped up to accommodate the ever-growing social networking game genre. Capcom CEO and chairman Kenzo Tsujimoto didn't mention why the company is specifically taking action following Inafune's exit. However, they describe the current state of the video game industry as in an "unprecedented period of volatile change."

"The company aims to achieve future growth through our new R&D organization, which will handle both the roles of marketing and product development" said Tsujimoto. "This will enable us to better adapt to the increasingly complex market, as well as review our past methods for success."

The company also has high hopes for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, and is expecting to sell two million units of the spring 2011 title. Capcom expects to move 3.6 million units of PSP game Monster Hunter Freedom 3 in Japan.
