BioWare Breaks Down ME2 PS3 Bonus Content

by Meagan Marie on Nov 08, 2010 at 04:06 AM

We’ve known for some time that Mass Effect 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 3 sometime in January, but BioWare has been otherwise tight-lipped about bonus content included with the game. Jesse Huston, producer for the PS3 port, took the time to clarify some PS3-specific details that originated from a German forum, and in the process gave us a breakdown of what will ship with the title.

Included on the Blu-ray Disc will be the full Mass Effect 2 game, in addition to Lair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen memory, and the Blood Dragon Armor. That alone amounts to a hefty DLC discount to make up for the lengthy delay. As with the 360 and PC versions, an access code to the Cerberus Network is packaged in and will allow players to pick up additional DLC such as Zaeed and Firewalker.

An interactive comic will also be exclusive to PS3 owners initially, giving them a chance to experience some of the major plot points and core decisions that unfolded in the original Mass Effect.

Huston also promises future DLC packs, both free and premium, that will be exclusive to PS3 players.
