Capcom Arcade Classics Heading To Wii Virtual Console

by Tim Turi on Nov 08, 2010 at 06:00 AM

They've already become available on your iPhone, but this winter you'll also be able to play Capcom's arcade classics on your Wii. Six titles will be freed of their cabinet walls for your Virtual Console enjoyment.

Here are the games you'll be able to play:

  • 1942 – A top-down shooter featuring WWII era fighter planes. Expect to shoot and be shot a lot.
  • Black Tiger – A powerful barbarian destroys all manner of massive evil in this sidescrolling action game.
  • Commando: Wolf of the Battlefield – Remember Super Joe from Bionic Commando? This is him in a top-down shooter.
  • Exed Exes – Don't let the silly name fool you, this is another Capcom shooter.
  • Ghosts 'n Goblins – Arthur is a bad ass even in his boxers. This is the arcade version of the tough-as-nails platformer.
  • SonSon – Play as a fun little monkey in this old school arcade game. If this still took quarters, you'd be broke.
