A familiar hero from Kojima's franchise will be playable in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Joystiq uncovered an interesting tidbit today about the upcoming Ubisoft game. Raiden, the sword-wielding cyborg ninja star of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Rising will appear in the new game. According to the report, Raiden is an unlockable character skin that can be uncovered by beating all of the virtual training missions in the new game.

While this news is pretty awesome for fans of both franchises, it shouldn't come as a great surprise. Altaïr was already an unlockable costume in Metal Gear Solid 4, and Hideo Kojima has repeatedly expressed his fondness for the Assassin's Creed franchise.

And you thought you couldn't be any more excited to play Brotherhood.
