Namco Bandai Reorganization Leaves 90 Jobless
After announcing a merger of its online and mobile divisions a few months ago, it looks like 90 Namco Bandai employees are the newest folks on the job market. Many resources will also be moved back to Japan from their US offices in San Jose, California.
The company's vice president of marketing Carlson Choi vaguely referenced the layoffs in the following statement: "We are partnering with external development studios out there because that is where the game business is going. Our goal is to move into digital games and broaden to different platforms. The details are being sorted out now."
