First 3,000 Times Square Kinect Buyers Get Two Games And Xbox Live Gold

by Phil Kollar on Nov 02, 2010 at 03:20 PM

Microsoft is planning a huge blowout in New York City's Times Square for this week's launch of Kinect. As part of the celebrations, they just revealed a huge bonus for the people lining up early: The first few thousand people to buy Kinect from the Toys 'R' Us store in Times Square will receive $150 in extras for no additional charge.

If you're one of the lucky 3,000 in the front of the line, your $150 Kinect purchase will also net you copies of Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride as well as a one-year subscription to Xbox Live Gold. Microsoft also plans to hand out other prizes to the crowd at Times Square, so even if you're not in that lucky group, you could still get something special.

Anyone planning to go line up for Kinect?
