Wii Owners Get To Experience Michael Jackson With A Signature Glove

by Phil Kollar on Nov 01, 2010 at 02:30 PM

If you were already planning to buy Ubisoft's Michael Jackson: The Experience for Wii, you may want to make sure you preorder or purchase from the initial shipment. Launch copies of the Wii version of this music game will ship with a signature Michael Jackson glove replica for no additional cost.

Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key explained the glove's inclusion:

"One of the most iconic symbols of Michael Jackson’s music and performance legacy is his signature glove. Consumers are encouraged to either pre-order Michael Jackson The Experience early or make sure to purchase the title on day one in order to get this special edition glove as we’re sure it will sell out quickly."

That quote and the glove pack-in don't help my general feelings of weirdness surrounding this game, but I suppose it's a nice deal for mega-fans. In the same announcement, Ubisoft also revealed two more songs for the game's tracklist: "Speed Demon" and "Dirty Diana."

The Wii version of Michael Jackson: The Experience (as well as the DS and PSP versions) will be out on November 23. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are planned for early 2011, although it's unclear if they'll get gloves of their own.
