As Cataclysm Approaches, Elementals Attack World Of Warcraft
We're now just over a month away from the launch of Cataclysm, the third expansion pack for World of Warcraft. Previously we heard that Blizzard would be preparing Azeroth for this event by randomly killing off whole zones of players. Now today another step in the pre-launch world event has begun.
WOW Insider has news of the event happening live in-game right now. Portals are spawning around Azeroth, and elementals are pouring out of them to attack various cities. Players who fight back receive a daily quest that allows them to enter a portal and take on one of two special bosses for the pre-Cataclysm event. There's also a full, fairly lengthy questline that reveals some of the story leading into the expansion.
If you want to take part in these elemental quests, be sure to log onto World of Warcraft soon. The event will only be active for a limited amount of time before Cataclysm's launch on December 7.
