Team Meat Working On New IP Rather Than Super Meat Boy 2

Despite the fact that Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes's Super Meat Boy is earning rave reviews and is most likely selling well on Xbox Live Arcade when combined with its launch discount, Team Meat is not going to follow it up with a sequel.

In an interview with Eurogamer, McMillen had the following to say:

"There will be another game but it won't be Meat Boy. It'll be totally new."

"We'd be lying if we said we hadn't talked about the next game – because we very much have. But thinking about it right now makes me want to stab myself in the stomach as hard as I can. With a gun."
