First Two Elemental Expansions Free For Early Adopters
Stardock announced today that it will be giving away the first two expansions for its turn-based fantasy strategy game to players who purchase it before October 31. This includes everyone who currently owns the game.
I wish I had better things to say about Elemental, but I don't know that I'd recommend this at its current $50 price point even including two free expansions. It's definitely getting closer, though.
I'll have more faith in the game if the upcoming 1.1 patch (which will begin a beta in November) fixes some of its more egregious issues, but by that point the free expansion deal will be over. In the meantime, my review stands.
I'll gladly eat my words and post a public apology if the patch turns Elemental around, because I want to like this game so freaking badly.
