DOOM Pulled From XBLA
The website GamerBytes noticed something odd about DOOM for Xbox Live Arcade. Specifically, the game is not available for download on the service anymore. This is odd, as it's been a strong seller.
While no explanation was given, it's been speculated that it has to do with Bethesda Softworks' parent company Zenimax's acquisition of id Software. DOOM was published by Activision on XBLA, and the business relationship between id and Activision is obviously finished.
In an unrelated move, the game Double D Dodgeball, developed by Yuke'swas also pulled from XBLA.
