THQ Adds Seven More Years To UFC License Exclusivity
Thanks to a new deal with Zuffa LLC, THQ will retain the exclusive rights to the UFC license for another seven years beyond its current contract.
With THQ's previous contract lasting until 2011, that gives the developer/publisher control over the license until 2018. The deal should also give the company's UFC Undisputed series a significant advantage over its competitor EA Sports MMA, though we'll have to wait to a little longer to see how the actual gameplay of this year's offerings from the two franchises stacks up.
