Updated With Trailer: New Free DLC For Medal of Honor Coming

by Matt Helgeson on Oct 19, 2010 at 10:55 AM

Although the game has received generally mixed (or poor) reviews, EA's Medal of Honor reboot is experiencing some success at retail worldwide. Today, the company announced that the game will take the number one spot on the UK sales charts this week. In addition, with only one week of U.S. and two days of European and Asian sales, the game has sold through 1.5 million units worldwide. To support this growing of community, a new free DLC pack entitled Clean Sweep will be released via Xbox Live and PSN on November 2nd.

The Clean Sweep is a new elimination multiplayer mode where "players must rely on their own skill and teammates’ expertise to prevail as the winning team." The pack will include two new maps -- Bagram Hangar and Khyber Caves -- in addition to redesigned version of the existing Diwagal Camp and Kabul City Ruins maps.

Note: This DLC is only "free" to those who have an EA Online Pass for Medal of Honor. So, if you bought it new, you're fine. If you bought a used copy you will have to buy an Online Pass for the game to access Clean Sweep.
