Over the summer, Haden Blackman, creator and Senior Executive Producer of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, left LucasArts after a 13-year stint. No one seemed to know where the developer was headed, until now. It seems that Blackman, and a small group of followers, have formed a new game development house, Fearless Studios.
Blackman and his new company's CTO, Cedrick Collomb – also a LucasArts vet – are hoping that Fearless Studios will be able to focus on impactful, story-focused games.
“At Fearless Studios, we believe great videogames should leave a lasting impression, an indelible mark on players, our industry, and even the wider culture,” said Blackman. “By taking bold creative risks and tackling new challenges, Fearless Studios will fuse the best of story and gameplay to immerse, engage, and affect players just as deeply as our favorite films and novels.”
Without the Star Wars license, we’re eager to see what these talented game designers can cook up.
