Tenacious D To Rock Socks Off At This Year's BlizzCon

by Jeff Marchiafava on Oct 11, 2010 at 08:40 AM

This year's BlizzCon just got a whole lot more epic. Today Blizzard announced that the self-proclaimed greatest band in the world will perform at the closing concert.

Tenacious D is comprised of comedian/musicians Jack Black and Kyle Gass, both of whom voiced characters in EA's heavy metal-infused Brutal Legend. Sales of Brutal Legend were too paltry for EA to invest in a sequel, but Blizzard is confident the duo will mesmerize the crowd with their onstage antics.

“We’re looking forward to a great show and can’t wait to see what Jack and Kyle have in store for everyone attending BlizzCon and watching from home,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard Entertainment.

The show is already sold out, but fans can watch the show via a multi-channel Internet stream around the world, for the wallet-bruising price of $39.95. For more information on ordering the show, check out Blizzard's homepage.
