CD Projekt Co-Founders Resigning

by Bryan Vore on Oct 10, 2010 at 01:10 PM

Witcher developer and Good Old Games Owner CD Projekt is losing CEO Michal Kicinski and business development director Marcin Iwinski. The co-founders will remain with the company in some regard, but not in their current capacities.

According to Gamasutra, the pair wanted to get out of the grind after a complicated "share swap" between CD Projekt's holding company CPD Investment and Optimus last year.

"Both Marcin and Michal have resigned from the positions they held, however they have not left the company," said a CD Projekt spokesperson. "They wanted to step back and relax after very busy last period, after finalizing the venture with Optimus and other strategic projects and simply decided to take a longer leave in order to restore energy and to avoid being burned out."

CD Projekt says that the pair's resignation will not affect any projects currently in development, including The Witcher 2.
