Harmonix Announces “White Knuckles” Rock Band Remix

by Meagan Marie on Sep 29, 2010 at 05:45 AM

Commencing festivities leading to Rock Band 3’s launch on October 26, Harmonix and MTV Games detailed a new contest this morning. Fans of OK Go are being given the opportunity to remix the band’s newest single “White Knuckles” for a chance to have the piece included amongst the Rock Band Network’s offerings.

The winning submission will be immortalized on the network after being processed by Harmonix employees. From there, the track will become available to purchase in late November. In addition to fame, the winner will receive a free copy of Rock Band 3 with instruments, an Xbox 360, and a deluxe copy of OK Go’s newest CD, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky.

The contest is open now and runs through October 14. Each week, OK Go producer Dave Fridmann chooses his favorite remixes and highlights them on the official band website. All the featured remixes will become available to download as a preorder bonus for those who plan on picking up the deluxe edition of Of the Blue Colour Of The Sky. The winner will be announced on October 29.
