We've got a weekend full of gaming ahead of us, and tomorrow night are taking a quick break for a very special editor's birthday (ahem). Read on to find out what we're up to this weekend, then share your plans in the comments section.

Andy: Halo: Reach retail arrived and as such, I will be playing Darksiders all weekend. Just kidding. Halo: Reach weekend!!!!

Jeff C: My parents are in town for a few weeks, so I imagine this weekend we’ll be playing some Forza 3. My dad doesn’t usually play games, but he loves sitting down in the racing cockpit and driving around in circles. Go figure. Mostly, I enjoy watching him crash over and over again as more and more beverages are consumed throughout the evening. There’s a lesson to be learned here, kids.

Kato: I'm going to have to do everything in my power to not play NHL 11 exclusively all weekend. My Be a GM mode is in full swing (the Minnesota Wild are 20-2 with Ilya Kovulchuk!), and my Ultimate Team is coming along. But, I definitely want to get the Mass Effect DLC and play through that at some time. Also, for the first time in a long time, I'm going to fire up Rock Band because of the recent Smiths/Morrissey songs. "This Charming Man" is not going to be easy.

Bryan: Totec proclaims that I will play Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light co-op this weekend.

Annette: It's my birthday this weekend and I have a few friends in town so I plan on having an epic couple of days. I plan on a few rounds of Rock Band at home then hitting the town with a bunch of GI peeps (they have nicely agreed to step away from their consoles for my party). Otherwise I'm headed to Tokyo on Tuesday for TGS so the rest of the weekend will revolve around prepping for my trip. Can't wait!!!

Jeff M: This weekend I plan to play more BioShock, and I’ll probably play some Resident Evil 5 co-op with my sister. I’d also like to spend more time with the original XCOM, but Annette’s crazy a** birthday party will probably leave me too incapacitated for gaming.

Jeff A:
Besides resenting Favre for not getting his a** up to training camp this past month, I'll be finishing up Minish Cap (finally) and hopefully making a little more progress in Darksiders. I'll also be hoping the Gophers don't embarrass themselves tomorrow against South Dakota State. The pitfalls of being a Gophers football fan.

That's it for us. What are you up to this weekend?
