by Ben Reeves on Sep 07, 2010 at 01:18 PM

Crackdown and APB developer Realtime Worlds has faced some financial trouble of late, forcing the studio to lay off several employees. These events left Realtime Worlds' current game, Project: MyWorld, in limbo. However, it looks like this experimental social media game could be getting a second chance at life. A mysterious U.S. firm has just purchased Project: MyWorld from the bankrupt studio.

As Develop pointed out, we don’t know who bought Project: MyWorld, what this mysterious entity plans to do with the software, or even if it will be hiring on any of the developers from Realtime Worlds, but it sounds likely that we’ll be hearing more about this title in the future. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more about Project: MyWorld and the fate of Realtime Worlds.
