Players Losing Stats And Weapons In Battlefied: Bad Company 2
Few things can crush a gamer's spirit like losing hard-earned progress, but many Battlefield: Bad Company 2 players are experiencing that sinking sensation today. Multiple players logged in today to find that their rank, weapons, and stats had been totally reset.
A thread over at EA's official forums for BC 2 contains many users complaining about the problem, but EA has not currently come forward with an official comment on the matter. Since it's the weekend, we may have to wait until tomorrow before we find out exactly what's causing the game's strange behavior.
I hope the explanation is simple and fixable, like the stats and weapons are all still there, but a glitch or something is preventing players from accessing them properly. Because, if it isn't that, the alternative (all of that progress is lost) is just too horrible to consider.
Then again, maybe the problem will just fix itself. That's always a good strategy, right?
