Far Cry 3 Listed At Swedish Retailers
Ubisoft has been quiet about Far Cry 3, though we've heard the game has been in the works ever since Far Cry 2 shipped back in 2008. Now, it looks like some Swedish retailers have broken the silence, listing Far Cry 3 online complete with box art, a 16+ rating, and multiple versions.
Listings at the sites Webhallen and Game Sweden point to a regular and collector's edition of the game. I don't have trouble believing that part, but the sites also have the release dated pegged for 2010. That would mean that the game, which no one has seen, is coming out in the next four months during the most crowded time of year for new game releases.
The probability of this being legit is pretty slim. I don't doubt that development on Far Cry 3 is in full swing, but if it were coming out this year, Ubisoft would have certainly said something about it by now.
If nothing else, at least we get to see what a logo for the game might look like. That's quite a 3, isn't it?
