Microsoft Opens The Toy Box For Crackdown 2

by Ben Reeves on Aug 23, 2010 at 11:19 AM

Microsoft and Ruffian games are giving players who have hung onto their copies of Crackdown 2 a new reason to put their disc back in their 360s for another spin. Crackdown 2’s first set of downloadable content, called Toy Box, gives players a few free goodies, but the premium content will cost you.

Toy Box’s free content includes a Keys to the City mode similar to the ever-popular DLC from the first Crackdown. Keys to the City is a suite of game cheats that will open the game up for players who’ve already done it all. God mode, infinite ammo, fly cam, weapon and gadget spawning, and the ability to freeze the time of day are just a few of the tools that will make our elite super soldiers bigger, stronger, and faster. The free half of Toy Box also includes a new multiplayer mode called vehicle tag, and a new Thruster Ability (basically jetpack shoes) for every agent who reaches level six in all their abilities.

Players who want it all can spend 560 Microsoft Points to buy new vehicles, guns and armor colors. The Agency ATV is a wall climbing aquatic mini-tank that will get you around the city in no time, while the Squad Chopper, equipped with a proximity mine launcher, a precision rocket launcher, twin machine guns, and a nose machine gun will allow up to four agents to fight crime in the skies.

We still don’t know when Toy Box is set to come out, but for more details on the new avatar awards and achievements that come with Toy Box, check out Gamerscoreblog.
