Valve's Portal 2 seems destined to be an early game of the year candidate when it released in February of 2011, and these newly released screens show the game looking in fine form. It's particularly exciting to get a good look at the game's paint features, as well the destructible turrets. Also, there's some robotic arms etching patterns into sheet metal – which could possibly be an example of the game's rebuilding levels. At the very least it's a window into the "behind the scenes" view of Aperture Science that we will experience in Portal 2. (Also, if you look close in the screenshot with the tubes, you'll see one of the new personality spheres). February can't come fast enough.
