Alan Wake’s Next DLC Will Be Weird

We already knew that Alan Wake’s next piece for DLC would be entitled The Writer, and that it would be 560 Microsoft points on Xbox Live, but we didn’t know much else about this twisted thriller’s next piece of downloadable content…until now.

Eurogamer recently interviewed Alan Wake writer Mikko Rautalahti and franchise development head Oskari Häkkinen, and the duo had a lot to say about the franchise. Most interesting was probably the fact that we can expect this new DLC to be stranger that the first. “You will be seeing a lot more weird stuff,” says Rautalahti. “And we've learned quite a bit from making The Signal, and we'll be applying that to The Writer quite a bit.”

Alan Wake fans might thrill at a few of the interviews other juicy bits. Notably when the two start talking about their desire to see an Alan Wake sequel. “I don't see any reason why we wouldn't continue with Microsoft with a full-blown sequel for Alan Wake,” says Häkkinen. “We definitely want to do it. We have great ideas for it. I can see Mikko here twiddling his thumbs with his ideas for Alan Wake 2.”
