Ex-Ubisoft Director Clint Hocking Lands At LucasArts

by Ben Reeves on Aug 06, 2010 at 02:45 PM

A few months ago we reported that one of the creative talents behind the early Splinter Cell titles as well as the lead designer for Far Cry 2, Clint Hocking, was leaving Ubisoft. It seems that Hocking has finally found a new home, Skywalker Ranch.

While LucasArts hasn’t made any official statements, a tweet from Ubisoft senior community developer Kimi Matsuzaki congratulated Hocking on his new job. Earlier, one of Hocking’s own tweets confirmed that the designer was in LucasArt’s hometown of San Francisco.

This would be exciting news for Hocking. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed producer Haden Blackman recently left the company, so it’s possible that Hocking could be filling into that void, or more likely, starting a new project. We can’t wait to hear what Hocking is working on when the company is ready to talk.
