Capcom Promises More DLC For Its Games

by Matthew Kato on Aug 06, 2010 at 05:30 AM

The company says it wants to extend the life of its games for players by offering more DLC. "Once a game has been purchased, it's not the end," said Capcom CEO Haruhiro Tsujimoto in a Japanese interview. "It's essential that we create a system to get players for a ling time."

While this is a great idea, the cynic in us remembers back to Capcom's recent fiscal troubles and wonders if this is just a way to drum up more money. But hey – isn't everything? Capcom has also said it wants to put out more games from its high-profile franchises in the future. Lets hope that all these good ideas don't stretch the company too thin.
