Virgin Gaming and Ubisoft made a joint announcement this morning broadcasting a partnership that will position the former as the online tournament provider for the latter’s multiplayer offerings. The first game to be given the Virgin treatment will be Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

“Ubisoft is thrilled to be partnering with Virgin Gaming on its new venture. We have an exciting lineup of multiplayer titles this year that we believe will be a perfect fit for gamers to play and compete against each other in a tournament setting,” said Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft North America.

First revealed at E3 of this year, Virgin Gaming is a platform that facilitates competitive gaming through tournaments for cash and tangible prices. In their Red Hot Summer event, more than $1,000,000 is promised to be given away in the first year alone.
