Monday Night Combat is a little difficult to explain. The game, which launches next week on Xbox Live Arcade, is part third-person shooter and part tower defense. Uber Entertainment knows how confusing this mashup might seem to new players, so they’ve released a developer walkthrough of the game’s Crossfire mode to clear things up.

The mode supports 12 players, in six-on-six matches, as they battle to defend their moneyball while escorting their robots to the enemy’s moneyball. In addition to going into greater detail on the mode, Uber provides plenty of ProTips to aspiring combatants.
