THQ Wants Two WWE Titles Per Year

by Dan Ryckert on Aug 02, 2010 at 12:15 PM

Think you already get your annual fill of wrasslin' games? Well, THQ doesn't think so. Granted, that doesn't mean you'll be seeing parts 1 and 2 of Smackdown vs. Raw. Rather, THQ wants to mix things up with alternate titles like the upcoming WWE All Stars.

In an interview with computerandvideogames.com, THQ's executive vice president Danny Bilson said "What we do have a plan for on that brand is what you saw with All-Stars, and next year you'll see another new extension there in another way that's just as exciting as All-Stars, but a little different. We're not talking about that yet. We're growing that brand basically through an alternate SKU every six months - the other SKUs are more friendly, easier, and less simmy."

No word yet on what that new SKU could be, but from what we saw of All Stars at E3, THQ is taking the WWE brand in some interesting and entertaining directions.
