Weekend Warrior 7/23

Tim: With Singularity done and dusted (it's great, play it!), I'm going to recommence Super Mario Galaxy 2. I only have 40 or so of the green stars tow acquire, and after that's done I need to pick back up Deadly Premonition, which was taken off course since my stint with Dragon Age: Origins and Red Dead Redemption. I also plan on plugging away at Chrono Trigger some more. Oh yeah, the Limbo demo was absolutely amazing, and I'll be plowing through that promising gem either tonight or tomorrow!

Jeff C: Where to begin? I’m going to try to blast through Singularity and Limbo this weekend. I’m pleasantly surprised by Singularity so far, and Limbo’s exactly what I was expecting. After that, I’m probably going to start Metro 2033. So… it looks like this weekend’s theme is dark and/or decayed. Pleasant!

Dan: After several months, I’ve finally come around to starting Dragon Age: Origins. There have been way too many great games in the first half of the year to dedicate that much time to one game, but now seems like a good point in the year to do so. When I need a break, I’ll be working on Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night and Limbo (both of which are awesome). Might take a stab at getting my non-gamer girlfriend into Worms: Armageddon too, but not sure how that’ll turn out.

Bryan: I’m about a third of the way into Limbo right now so I hope to finish it off sometime this weekend. Also, it looks like I’m finally going to finish off the Borderlands on-disc content with a friend. With scheduling and all it can take a while to finish a co-op career so lay off! This should time out nicely with super discounted “Blands” DLC on Xbox Live next week.

Joe: I downloaded Limbo earlier this week, but haven’t had a chance to sit down and play it yet. I’ll be doing that as much as possible, and if I finish, I think I’m going to pick up one of the RPGs in my backlog. Also, I’m going to be playing a board game called Arkham Horror for the first time...apparently it’s pretty complicated and awesome.

Phil: VIDEO GAMES! My biggest and most important gaming goal this weekend is to finally finish up Final Fantasy XIII. After months slow work (and several long breaks), I’ve entered Chapter 12, and the end is quickly approaching. I’m finally feeling relatively powerful, and the battle system is as entertaining as ever. Here’s hoping I can wrap it up on tonight or tomorrow. I’m also going to try to blast out a cheats-enabled playthrough of the StarCraft: Brood Wars expansion pack to make sure all the plot from that game is fresh in my mind before next week’s StarCraft II release. STARCRAFT II. That is all.

Jeff M: I'm on the last leg of both Red Dead Redemption and Red Faction: Guerrilla, so I would like to finish at least one game that starts with the word 'red' this weekend. Oh yeah, I also have a super amazing 3D simulation game to play this weekend, called "Mowing The Lawn." It's not that fun.

Reiner: I'm gigging in La Crosse, WI and also recording a music show for a local TV station. When I have free time, I'm going to start up (and hopefully complete) Limbo.
