The new music game has announced retailer-exclusive incentives, along with confirmed pricing and release date.

October 26th will see the next iteration of Harmonix's music game franchise hitting store shelves, which will include 83 songs and access to the full 2000+ song library of Rock Band downloadable tracks.

People who preorder with GameStop will receive three downloadable tracks:

  • "Burning Down the House", by Talking Heads
  • "My Own Summer", by Deftones
  • "Blue Monday", by New Order

Amazon pre-orderers will receive a special in-game guitar, plus $10 off a future video game purchase.

Wal-Mart preorder shoppers will get a $10 eGift card.

Unsurprisingly, the game will release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii for $59.99. Previously announced were several of the peripheral prices, including the keyboard ($79.99), the keyboard/game bundle ($129.99), the Fender Mustang guitar ($149.99), the cymbals expansion kit ($39.99), and the MIDI adapter ($39.99). Harmonix has yet to announce the pricing on the Squier Guitar controller, but gamers should brace for a high number -- that's a full-fledged real electric guitar that doubles as an in-game controller.
