Okay, kids, this one hurts.
Destructoid is reporting that video game rocker Eddie Riggs, star of DoubleFine's Brutal Legend, has been found dead. He was not, sadly, found drowned in a pool of his own vomit (that's the way he would have wanted to go), but rather victim to the one thing even a rad two-handed tapping guitar solo can't defeat: the economic realities of the video game industry.
Apparently, a DoubleFine representative let the news that there will be no sequel to Brutal Legend, the engaging, yet flawed, heavy metal epic released last year by EA Partners.
Let's pour one out for a fallen hero.
