Google Games? Google Invests Over 100 Million In Zynga?

by Tim Turi on Jul 12, 2010 at 08:40 AM

A rumor has recently surfaced pointing to Google secretly  investing somewhere between 100 and 200 million in social games developer Zynga. The purported investment is alleged to be part of a Zynga partnership in preparation for the launch of Google Games.

Google Games is reported to allow folks to play popular Zynga titles like Farmville without logging into Facebook. Instead they’ll log in with their Google info and perform microtransactions using Google Checkout instead of PayPal.
