Those of you who thought you'd have to pay for PlayStation Plus just for the chance to pay for Hulu Plus can rest easy. According to Joystiq, the company has clarified its previous statement, confirming that "The PlayStation Plus service is only a requirement during the preview period."
After Hulu puts its new service to the test in the limited preview for PlayStation Plus subscribers (think of this as a beta), you won't have to belong to Sony's premium service plan to pony up the $10/month subscription fee required to enjoy Hulu from the comforts of your home console.
Hulu is slated to come to the PlayStation 3 this month. Xbox 360 users will have to wait until 2011 to use the service.
