I'm not the biggest fan of time management restaurant games. Diner Dash, for instance, is a fine game and a great test of speed and memory, but I always grow bored with its repetition. THQ's Star Wars: Cantina HD, which just hit iPad on July 1, is born of the same mold: seat customers, take their order, serve them, collect cash, clean their table, repeat. The iPad is the perfect home for a game like this. So far, all of my screen taps have registered without error or lag. The gameplay is equally as repetitious as Diner Dash, but I'm finding that the Star Wars license carries a ton of weight. The idea of serving Jawas alcohol makes me smirk every time, and I'm also getting a kick out of the story and humor. I don't want to give away too much, but I will reveal that one of the characters is a stormtrooper named Dave.

Star Wars: Cantina HD has a sticker price of $4.99. It is also available on iPhone (and has been since March 24), but it doesn't offer the same exactness in its touch gameplay. Some of my actions were read wrong way due to the smaller screen size. As you know, in games like these, one false move can ruin an entire shift. If you can tolerate these frustrating moments, it is worth a look for its Star Wars content. The iPad version, on the other hand, should be gobbled up immediately.
