Okamiden Producer Wants An Okami Title On 3DS
The announcement of the 3DS not only has gamers excited, but it got game makers thinking about the future of their franchises. Motohide Eshiro, producer of Okamiden for the original DS, is one such person.
“Okamiden is a regular DS game, but the world and design of Okamiden would be well suited on the 3DS,” he said. “The 3DS has a lot of potential with the depth it has in terms of visual depth and the solid-type structures it can recreate. Okamiden’s world would be suited for that and I’d like to be able to create something like that in the future."
Okamiden is already shaping up to be one of the best-looking DS games out there, but it’s hard not to imagine how the series’ lush, bright visuals would look using Nintendo’s immersive, graphically-enhanced 3DS. Let’s hope Okamiden is a success so that we need not imagine forever.
