Donkey Kong Country Returns This Holiday Season

In a press conference that has seen the return of a number of classic Nintendo franchises, perhaps the biggest surprise was the announcement of Donkey Kong Country Returns, a brand new 2D platformer for the Wii created by Retro Studios, known for its work on the 3D Metroid games. The video shown demonstrated DK and DK Jr. in some fast and hectic 2D levels, and even -- if we saw correctly -- engaged in some pit fighting! The game looks great, and the best news: it's coming out this holiday season.
