Maniaplanet User-Powered Gaming "Platform" Coming To PC

Ubisoft just announced not only Trackmania 2, but also an umbrella user-created content gaming service that includes Shootmania and Questmania.

The original Trackmania is a top user-creation games on PC. Ubisoft is taking this track creation philosophy to first-person shooters, role-playing games, and, of course, racing. All of these genres will be under the Maniaplanet service that uses a single map editor and a single platform for sharing levels. You'll be able to play solo, co-op, and versus in all of these genres.

Public betas will be launching over the next year for all three games.
